About me
Hello and thanks for stopping by!
My name is Reza Rahpeima. I am currently an M.Sc. student in the Institute of Biomedical Electronics and Bioinformatics (BEBI) of the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the National Taiwan University (NTU). I am currently doing research in the Ultrasonic Imaging Lebaretory under the supervision of Prof. Pai-Chi Li.
I recieved my bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Bu-Ali Sina University and my first master's degree in aerospace engineering from K. N. Toosi University of science and technology. Currently, I am also working as a simulation engineer intern in SHL Medical.
My research interests lie primarily in photoacoustic/thermoacoustic imaging, acoustics, CFD, and coding & numerical simulation of areas in various electromechanical systems. My interests and directions spread over as follows:
News
- September 2023: I presented my conference paper at the 2023 IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium in Montreal, Canada.
- August 2023: I have been accepted into the exchange program at the National University of Singapore and awarded the "NTU Voyage of Aspirations" scholarship to cover my expenses throughout my time there.
- July 2023: My research paper, "An experimental and numerical approach for optimization of internal and external corrugations with various geometries in cylindrical thin-walled concertina energy absorbers under quasi-static axial load", is published in the Mechanics of Advanced Materials and Structures journal.
- October 2022: I started my work in SHL Medical as a "simulation engineer" intern.
- September 2022: My research paper, "Numerical study of magnetic hyperthermia ablation of breast tumor on an anatomically realistic breast phantom", is published in the Plos One journal.
